At the entrance of the little park next to the Maria Goretti church, Bisser has depicted all sorts of fantastic creatures in bright colours crawling over the wall.
Belgian artist Bisser was born in Leuven and studied animation in Ghent.
Bisser has been drawing all his life. His older brother, The Simpsons and the Kid Paddle comic series were his main sources of inspiration. His brother was the reason he began to draw graffiti letters. Later on, a friend showed him what you can do with a spray can. But drawing has always remained his passion. The magazine GraffBombz inspired him for his typographic work.
A legal graffiti wall in Leuven offered him the opportunity to experiment with walls and large formats. Letters became winding 3D lines. Just before the final exam of his first year at the Academy, he decided to radically change his style. The jury told him he had to repeat the year ('bissen' in Flemish). That’s how he got the name Bisser.
