Bué

In 2013, the first Belgian edition of The Big Draw took place in Ghent.

On the occasion of The Big Draw, graffiti artist Bué The Warrior gave workshops for all ages at STAM – Ghent City Museum. He demonstrated how to paint thick and thin lines with a spray can, and how to colour a surface.

Of course, a work of art was created to immortalise this edition.

Bué the Warrior, aka Dave De Rop, is a pioneer in the Belgian street art scene.  He grew up in a family of cartoonists.  Bué has developed his own accessible visual language via colour and positive energy. With his colourful creations, he has left his mark on the streetscape not just of Ghent but also of other cities around the world.

By his own account, Bué is a real ‘street kid’, constantly looking for interesting spots to leave his art. He also enjoys working together with other artists and is not afraid to combine different styles.
