Five new works of art can be admired in the Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat. The city authorities are running a project to make the street look more residential. Besides the murals, actions such as more greenery on the façades and light projections with messages on the road surface have already been realized or are being considered.
CeePil's work is all about the contrast between nature and culture, a bewildering view on nature and how men and nature live together. Instead of presenting beautiful pictures he wants to give his audience food for thought. His work has a certain surrealistic touch. He wants to show a calm and harmonious picture with an unpleasant connotation.
