Children rights
This artful children’s rights mural is the result of a street art commissioned by tZitemzo, a Ghent non-profit organisation that defends the rights of young people. It was created by Jeremiah Persyn, aka Jamz Jamezon.
For this work, he asked underage refugees, youngsters from youth welfare centres and newcomers from abroad what children’s rights mean to them. The result is a mural depicting the right to feel secure, be loved, have enough to eat, play, grow, be treated fairly, etc.
Jeremiah Persyn (°1975, Bruges) is a truly versatile artist. After his studies in painting and animation, he started out as a graffiti artist. Jamz is best known for his street art, but he is also a cartoonist, illustrator of children’s books and founder of ‘Sarazon Creative’.
