Graffiti jam

Cultuur Gent wants to give artists the opportunity to use the streets as their playground and canvas and bring street art to a broader audience.

Jolly, Mesh and Madame La Belge, three female graffiti artists from Ghent and Brussels, transformed a drab school wall into an underwater world during a ‘Femmefastiek’ graffiti jam. The aim was to put female graffiti artists in the spotlight.

They drew inspiration from the harbour area of De Muide. The wall became an underwater world with whales, the harbour and submarines.
