Jeps & Boris
In Gentbrugge, the duo Jeps & Boris brightened up a drab façade with this wonderful drawing of a tropical parula, a bird that inhabits the Amazon rainforest. The artists opted for a colour palette that matched the blue woodwork of the house. The image and bird species were also chosen with this in mind. Thanks to the mainly blue background, the windows are integrated into the design without standing out.
Jeps & Boris (Jatse Verschoore and Dieter Samyn) are two Belgian professional street art creators who have been active since the early 2000s. Their early work mainly consisted of graffiti, but over the years the duo evolved to street art and realistic murals. Their recognisable, realistic style is enriched with graphic and abstract elements. Animals (birds) and portraits are recurring elements in their oeuvre.
