Portraits

Near Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station, at the front of a small park, you can find two murals with portraits by Pavo Real. Pavo Real’s friend Thib. helped him a little with the drawing in red.

Belgian artist Pavo Real – whose name means ‘peacock’ in Spanish – creates street art in Ghent. In 2020, he left a few striking artworks in Werregarenstraat (‘graffiti alley’), including portraits of the late Ghent art mogul Jan Hoet and Freddy De Vadder, a character played by comedian Bart Vanneste.
