Spogo
The side wall of Sint-Paulus parochial centre is a project by Treepack.
Spogo makes use of the building’s shape and interrupts the rectangular-horizontal line with a large circle, a series of geometric shapes and vertical structures. He uses a palette of blue and violet to suggest different depths and turquoise for the circle.
Spanish artist Spogo (Carlos García) creates murals as well as artworks on canvas, wood and paper. He has developed his own abstract geometric style.
For his murals, he draws inspiration from the building’s architecture. He is constantly trying to reach a balance between shapes and colours, with respect for the building and its surroundings.
