A squid called Sebastian
This is a project by De Gentse Tappers in Overpoortstraat, a street in the student neighbourhood that is crammed with bars and clubs. This mural has been painted on the rear wall of the archives of the Liberal Union, which explains the many papers.
A Squid Called Sebastian obtained a master's degree in comic strip drawing at Sint Lucas Gent. His style shows recognisable influences from the comic world and the work of figurative masters. He always seeks out a certain dynamism and tension in his work through his use of colours and masks.
