Art work on one of the residential towers in the New Ghent district.

As part of the urban renewal project Nieuw Gent Vernieuwt, 6 residential towers will be demolished and replaced in the near future.

Bué the Warrior, aka Dave De Rop, is a pioneer in the Belgian street art scene.  He grew up in a family of cartoonists.  Bué has developed his own accessible visual language via colour and positive energy. With his colourful creations, he has left his mark on the streetscape not just of Ghent but also of other cities around the world.

By his own account, Bué is a real ‘street kid’, constantly looking for interesting spots to leave his art. He also enjoys working together with other artists and is not afraid to combine different styles.

A squid called Sebastian : In his style, there is a recognizable influence from both the world of comics and the work of figurative masters. He is always looking for a certain dynamic and tension in his work through the application of color and composition.
