Ghent visual artist Leen Van Tichelen has created the work of art Silent Speech together with the inhabitants of the Bloemekenswijk neighbourhood. It consists of imposing canvases printed with patterns and images designed by local residents. The stories of this neighbourhood are thus an integral part of the artwork.
Kymo One gives a representation of what he experiences in his surroundings by using images and graphic elements he found online. He often holds a mirror to himself, as well as to the people around him. His focus is on the emotional and reactional nature of man.

This long wall, a collaborative work by various artists, is the result of a graffiti jam organised by the Local Prevention and Safety department, the Youth department and Graffiti vzw in 2011.
The sculpture at E3-plein square in Ledeberg leaves much to the imagination. We are talking about ‘The Large AVL Man’ created by Atelier Joep Van Lieshout, an international team of artists which has become a fixture in the Netherlands. The sculpture not only cheers up its surroundings, but can also serve as playground equipment or as a seating unit thanks to its playful shape.

The city organises an annual car-free Sunday in September to make room for a highly varied and festive programme. In 2018 the B401 viaduct was the place to be for art, food, music and sustainable dreams for the future. The organising partners wished to collaborate with an artist who sees the street as their studio and works on a large scale.
